The full course is back in play for the first time since 2018, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on 7 April.
Jones Creek Golf Course has reopened to golfers for the first time since it closed in 2018 — the end of a restoration that began with the clubhouse and range and finished with the course itself.
A grand opening and ribbon-cutting followed on 7 April, attended by Columbia County officials, the Jones Creek homeowners’ association and residents who had watched the course deteriorate for the better part of a decade.
“I wanted the course in championship shape, and that’s exactly what we’ve delivered,” Andrew Brooks told the Augusta Chronicle.
