A closed Augusta-area course, seven years of neglect, and a community that had given up on it.
Jones Creek had been closed since 2018. Flooding had never been resolved, maintenance had stopped, and the course had fallen into disrepair — in front of the homeowners whose properties backed onto it. Andrew Brooks: “From when we came in and just seeing the place was overgrown, it was gone. It was completely finished.”
Bond Golf Global took on the restoration and the operation. The clubhouse and range came first, reopening as The Practice Club on Masters Monday, 3 April 2023, with a Toptracer Range installation across the bays. Course restoration ran alongside it.
The full course reopened in March 2026 after seven years closed, with a ribbon-cutting on 7 April. Tripp Nanney, president of the Jones Creek homeowners’ association, called the repair of the site “nothing short, literally, of a miracle.”
